Many on these days, family has already air-conditioned and central heating installed in their home and also has the whole house air purifier. Same with any other installation, this too has its own Pros and Cons.
Having a centralized house air purifier is not the best advice on cleaning the indoor air. They can only clean the air as and when it passes through the air purification system. However the purification is rendered ineffective because the air gets contaminated again when it passes via a duct back to the room.
Centralized house air purifier type does not rely or consider that central air system which is already installed and existing within the same framework. If the room, for which purification is in process, has closed doors or is far away from the central air system, the exchange of air is not optimized at all for that room.
The air ducts needs to be cleaned from time to time if one expects a central air purifier to work well. It's quite an expensive affair as such, but there are specialized companies which provide duct cleaning services. This is the only way to increase the efficiency of the air purification process as a clean duct ensures that there are no toxins or a build up of contaminants like dust and particulate matter in the duct.
Since a new installation design can take into consideration all the rooms in the house, including the room furthest from the air purification system, it is in the best interest to choose one when the house is being designed and central air systems like air-conditioning, heating, etc are being taken into consideration.
It is highly recommended that when choosing an air purifier for an existing home, its best to identify a room which needs air purification instead of the whole house. This helps, even when doors are closed since the targeted area is just a room as compared to an entire house. Besides the increase in effectiveness, it would also lower the costs.
House air purifier has a great way beneficial to the family, so for me. I will let one dedicated air purifier on each room.
